Pratt Republican. "A Bad State of Affairs." September 8, 1910.
"Now the Republican always stands for law and against any form of mob law. It concedes the right of a colored man to acquire property wherever he pleases, because the constitution and the law gives him that right. . . [Nevertheless,] it might be well to remember that the black man had no rights until the white man gave him that 14th amendment to the Constitution and also the liberal laws of Kansas."
