Timescapes:

A timescape focuses on a particular space or place in the U.S. South. These short documentaries can either be comprised of one continuous take or an edited series of shots on location. Timescapes can range from thirty-second vignettes to fifteen-minute short videos.

To Submit:
All video files should be submitted in an uncompressed format, preferably as digitized video files copied to a mass storage medium (like DVD) or, alternatively, as clips archived onto a mini-DV tape with an accompanying list of names and corresponding time code numbers for all clips. Although our preference is for original digital material, we will also consider video tape formats such as VHS or Hi-8.

If you have questions regarding image, sound, or video formatting, please contact us. Submissions should be sent to the senior editor or managing editor of Southern Spaces for consideration. Please refer to the Editorial Board and Editorial Staff sections for contact information.
