The 2009 Southern Spaces series "Documentary Expression and the American South" is a collection of interdisciplinary, multimedia publications that explore documentary expression in the various regions and places of the U.S. South. These pieces were selected for this series from a competitive group of submissions. They build upon and supplement previously published work on Southern Spaces about documentary photography, film, and research methods and practices.
